Department of Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics instructs students in the base-8 system of Mathematics used within the Vulprisian Academy of Sciences system. Offering programs in pure and applied Mathematics, the department contributes to the advancement of society in the reams of finance, technology, core sciences and medicine.

One of the core departments and institutions in Vulprisian society, graduating mathematicians since 5887, prior to the founding of the Academy, the Department of Mathematics offers first-, second- and third-level degrees to students among member institutions. The Department of Mathematics also holds regular seminars and conferences gathering mathematicians from across the planet in an exposition of mathematical research and educational development.

Course numbering is under the VAoS base-8 system and differs greatly from that of common Earth course numbering.
